Piping Construction
Time: 5 minutesPiping a bodice edge is the easiest and cleanest way of finishing a bodice. The bias allows the fabric to curve and give just a little. The piped cord looks fancy and does double duty to hide the attachment stitches to the basque when you stitch in the ditch. The piped edge can be hand stitched on the backside of the bodice or machine top stitched.

Finishing Bone Casing
Time: 7 minutesThere are a few ways to stitch on the bone casing. You can choose which one works for you. The bones for this bodice will be on the design seams for ease of alterations. Bones can range in lengths depending on if you’re only boning under the bust or want that extra support for the bust. We use both ¼’ spiral steel and ½’ plastic bones.
