    Bodice Fitting

    Time: 5 minutes

The fitting is so important. The bodice needs to be snug, snug. Some dancers have never worn such a snug garment. There are times they don’t realize their body language works against the fitting process. We show you how to talk to your dancer and hopefully help you to relax and not get too nervous if the bodice seems too snug in the initial fitting.

  • Finishing the Top Edge

    Time: 4 minutes

Piping a bodice edge is the easiest and cleanest way of finishing a bodice. The bias allows the fabric to curve and give just a little. The piped cord looks fancy and does double duty to hide the attachment stitches to the basque when you stitch in the ditch. The piped edge can be hand stitched on the backside of the bodice or machine top stitched.
