Gathering & Attaching Net Layer 1
Time: 13 minutesI’m using the 2 thread gathering for the #1 row. If you don’t have a ruffling foot or a ruffling machine, this method can be done for all the rows/layers. My personal way of attaching the basque is explained.
**Layers 2-10 are ruffled using a Johnson Ruffling Machine and not shown. Please see the separate video on the Johnson Ruffling Machine CLICK HERE.**

Preparing Hoop Layer 4 and 5
Time: 5 minutesThe net pieces are now seamed together into their respective rows. Layers #4 & #5 will be the hoop layer. These layers will be combines to become one doubled row with a channel for the hoop.

Overlocking Piped Binding
Time: 2 minutesUsing bias strips, 1/16 th “ (not 1/8 th ” ) corded elastic is incased and a nice neat overlock edge finishes the look.

Finishing The Panty
Time: 4 minutesWe stitch the center front seam and zig zag stitch the guidelines for our net layers. Leg casings made and reinforced. The back placket is also clipped and folded back to keep it out of the way. Once again, this is one of many ways to construct a panty.

Basque Hooks
Time: 6 minutesSince we’re using a doubled piece of powernet, we need to overlock these pieces so they work as one. The waistband and hook/eye tape is done at this time so the basque is ready for later attachment to the skirt panty
